Squarespace Adds AI Site Builds, Image Studio and Text Campaigns

Squarespace posted its September product updates on September 21. The changes lean hard into AI and marketing tools for small businesses that build their own sites.

Blueprint AI Builds Whole Sites

Blueprint AI is Squarespace's tool for starting a site. It now builds a full, multi page site from a short brief. You "tell Squarespace what you're building and choose the brand personality, colors, and fonts." Squarespace says it upgraded the images across more than 1,000 industries. You can also preview the whole site right away, not just the home page.

Image Studio

A new Image Studio has three modes:

• Generate makes pictures from a text description.
• Reshoot adds studio style effects to photos you already have.
• Create sets makes a group of images that match each other.

Text Message Campaigns

Squarespace now has SMS campaigns. They come with a message composer, built in tools for consent and verification rules, and live stats on deliveries, clicks and opt outs.

Payment Changes

Multi currency checkout lets shoppers pay in their own currency while the seller is paid in theirs. Quick Pay in the Squarespace app lets sellers take custom amounts with no matching product.

Why It Matters

For owners who build their own sites, AI tools cut the time to a first draft. Generated images can fill gaps when you have no photos. For a local business, though, real photos of your team, your shop and your work still build more trust.
